The charcoal material contains more than 40 % of activated charcoal, which eliminate the smell and odours.
The grease filter material has a fat saturation indicator, printed as grey stripes.
When the filter is saturated and should be replaced, the grey stripes turn into red (brown).
The filters are usually placed in the lid of the fryer.
